Friday Night 2-25-2013 Release

This Friday the movie Bad Grandpa is being released to theaters. The film is directed by Jackass so the movie is undoubtedly going to be raunchy with its themes. The trailer gives the audience exactly that. There are a lot of funny moments in the trailer between the grandfather and the 8 year old grandson. The film follows the basic campy guide lines with the journey across America and imminent bonding.
The film is rather controversial of course because it is by Jackass. To be specific the instance in the young beauty pageant. The child is featured doing explicit dancing. The film is still given the R rating so there probably isn't much explicit content dealing with the child. There will probably be heavy profanity. The shots will more than likely be standard and feature the typical scenic American landmarks and driving sequences. This movie will probably do well on its release because of its crude comedic themes

Friday Night Gravity

Last Friday Gravity premiered in the United States. The movie stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney as astronauts in space. The movie appears to detail the average astronaut until everything goes awry. It doesn't appear based off of the trailer that aliens are to blame. It would seem as if there is just a miscalculation of some sort and the space station falls apart. The majority of the trailer features close ups of Sandra Bullock floating around in space untethered and franticly terrified.
This premise seems to be very interesting but I fail to see any sort of solution to this issue realistically so  it is likely that deus ex machina will come into play. The idea of isolation in space is good but this limited perspective plus the excessive amounts of CG because its in space will ultimately make the movie scary. At first watch you cannot see how Clooney comes into play but he is at one point tethered to Bullock so this most likely means that he will play a supporting role.

E60 Jody

This E60 video follows the story of a 10 year old who gets molested by his karate instructor. This video takes place in the 80's and it intercuts with the people in Jody's life including himself in present day. They mostly reflect how terrible the situation was but Jody explains how he ultimately was able to move on. The clip ends with Jody leading a support group helping similar victims to help them cope.
This video can get some raised eyebrows because it utilized the actual clip of the perpetrator getting shot after getting off of an airplane. This presumably the actual footage judging by the quality and the background of the clip. The father was the assailant who who killed the rapist, and did not spend any time in jail for a) killing someone, and b) bringing a gun to an airport. This video leaves the viewer with the question on whether or not it is justifiable to kill someone if raped your child.
